Another external wall insulation project completed! The tricky access on this Victorian house meant that scaffolding had to be brought through the narrow side passage and erected to the rear elevation. A substantial amount of external pipework had to be removed and re-fixed to allow space for the insulation and render. The existing windows were removed and replaced with new …

External Wall Insulation & Cladding
So – hi all, it seems i have fallen some way behind in keeping our blog up to date – its been a really busy few months and I think my batteries needed a recharge… which I was luck enough to have last week… more of that in another blog… So with our current project we have had a few …
The first of the windows are in..
So, the first of the windows at Elms Lea have been installed on the first floor of the house. They look amazing, and will look even better when the cork external wall insulation and the featherboard cladding have been added. Also while we have been up on the scaffolding it is apparent that the seagulls that live on the roof …

(Special mention for www.traderadiators.co.uk, www.wallsandfloors.co.uk who despite causing lots of grief through their delivery companies managed to eventually sort things …
Week 10 – project update XII
Despite it being a frantic week last week I seem to have taken very few pictures… much of what we’ve been working on has been fitting the bathroom ready for tiling, fitting skirtings, finally sorting out the drainage in the annexe, and also getting the heating up and running (one of the pics below shows steam coming from the top …
