this eco-house married style and sustainability
Let us take the hard work out of making your home / office green.
Our in-house architect can design a solution for your home renovation with environmentally friendly design right from the outset.
Our Sustainable Building Consultant can demonstrate how your home is currently performing, offer affordable solutions to reduce your energy use and improve your home in the process. We can also help with the integration of all green technologies and materials, from renewable energy to water saving, from organic paint to insulation.
Finally, once you have helped us to design your green renovation, we can help you to project manage the builders, installers, permissions, and grants that you may need to realise your perfect eco-refurbishment. Or as part of our full service we can organise the whole renovation for you from the demolition to the decorating.
For developers, architects and self-build enthusiasts we also offer Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments, Heat Loss and Water Efficiency calculations, Low/Zero Carbon Technology Feasibility studies, Day-lighting and U value calculations and can arrange for SAP 2005/2009 calculations through an affiliate.
“Bright Green Homes offers a fantastic service. They were attentive to detail from the design to clearing up little niggles and I thoroughly recommend them”. - Jo, Brighton
“Thank you for all the project management you have done for us. It has been really good to know that you had the expertise and the connections to get the work done that we wanted. We didn’t have the knowledge or time to do the research so your help was extremely valuable” – Caroline, Esher
Working with Brighton & Hove 10:10, Bright Green Homes and many other community partners is a new energy services company: Brighton and Hove Energy Services Company. BHESCo. is a social enterprise which is bringing together thousands of people in Brighton and Hove to bulk buy energy and save money on their fuel bills. As well as passing on the savings from customers buying together, they reinvest the profits in energy saving improvements and renewable energy micro-generation in their customers’ houses. At the moment they are trying to reach a target of 5,000 people interested (no obligation) so please visit their site and sign up today – www.bhesco.co.uk
Bright Green Homes is also proud to announce that we have invested in the community Solar project – Brighton Energy Cooperative – They have raised £160K investment in the last 8 weeks in BEC and are still open for new investors, more details here http://www.brightonenergy.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/invite.pdf
They are adding 120kWp of community owned Solar power in Brighton & Hove – enough to power 40 homes and save 1,085 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide.
We would encourage anyone else; individuals, groups or companies to invest in this scheme to improve the carbon footprint of Brighton & Hove.
