GREEN HOMES GRANT

Bright Green Homes has been registered with the Insulation Assurance Authority as PAS2030:2019 accredited Insulation Installer and are also Trustmark Certified to provide the GREEN HOMES GRANT

This means that we are able to access the funding that has been set aside by HM Government to encourage energy efficiency across the country.

We are now offering 4 types of insulation services amongst our usual full building service – see below

*Please also have a look at our BLOG posts for up-to-date news about the GHG, the terms of the government support are still subject to change as it develops in practice.

  • Loft insulation

We will bring your loft insulation up to the minimum regulation of 270mm thick mineral wool, while using an innovative product to maintain your storage space

  • Internal Wall Insulation

Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) is a type of solid wall insulation whereby a layer of thermal insulating material is fixed on an internal wall. More heat is retained within the room, the purpose of IWI being to prevent heat loss and so reduce your energy bills.

  • Underfloor insulation

Under Floor Insulation (UFI) is installing a layer of insulating material under the floorboards but above either concrete or timber flooring, which it is usually depends on the age of the property. Typically, a property will only need to install UFI within the ground floor. However, if your property has a floor above a garage for example this can also be insulated under GHG. The aim of UFI is to retain the heat in the ground.

  • room in the roof

A Room in Roof (RIR) is an ideal way to make use of your loft. If you have a loft which is not insulated, and you are looking to convert it into a room, insulating boards are fitted in between the rafters and underneath the plasterboard roof liner. The insulating boards can be either polystyrene, polyurethane or a ‘natural’ product.

  • Trust Mark

A member of the Government endorsed Trustmark scheme to reassure you of our commitment to quality

  • Insulation Assurance Authority

We are supported by the Insulation Assurance Authority who will provide you with 25 year guarantees

  • FMB

A member of the Green Homes Grant installer scheme and the FMB means that you are getting the most relaible install
