So – after lots of wading through paperwork Bright Green Homes can announce that we are now registered with the Insulation Assurance Authority as PAS2030:2019 accredited and are also Trustmark Certified to provide the GREEN HOMES GRANT

This means that we will be able to access the funding that has been set aside by HM Government to encourage energy efficiency across the country. Despite what you may have heard in the press recently – this is still happening (albeit with less installers that they had originally hoped for (Ed note: not surprised after having to wade through it ! but it is still happening).

We are now offering 4 types of insulation service – see below

  • Trust Mark

A member of the Government endorsed Trustmark scheme to reassure you of our commitment to quality

  • Insulation Assurance Authority

We are supported by the Insulation Assurance Authority who will provide you with 25 year guarantees

  • FMB

A member of the Green Homes Grant installer scheme and the FMB means that you are getting the most relaible install

  • Loft Insulation

We will bring your loft insulation up to the minimum regulation of 270mm thick mineral wool, while using an innovative product to maintain your storage space

  • Internal wall insulation

Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) is a type of solid wall insulation whereby a layer of thermal insulating material is fixated on an internal wall. More heat is retained within the room itself, the goal of IWI is to support heat loss and therefore reduce your energy bills.

  • Underfloor insulation

Under Floor Insulation (UFI) is when a layer of insulated material is installed under the floorboards but above either concentrate or timber wood, depending on the age of the property. Typically, a property will only need to install UFI within the ground floor. However, if your property has any floors (for example) above a garage this can also be insulated. The aims of UFI is to not trap heat but to prevent heat loss.

  • Room in the Roof

Room in Roof (RIR) is an ideal product if you have a loft living space which is not insulated, or you are looking to convert your loft into a room. Insulating boards are fitted in between the rafters, underneath the plasterboard. The insulated boards are made from either polystyrene or polyurethane.

If you are interested in any of the above energy efficiency measures (EEMs) being installed in your home with the help of the GREEN HOMES GRANT then please fill out the contact form below. We will contact you to discuss the first steps that you need to make. Be aware that Bright Green Homes ONLY works in the area local to Brighton & Hove (about 20miles radius).
